The Chinmaya Education Movement is one of the most significant contributions of Chinmaya Mission to the society. Nearing 50 years of establishment, growth and expansion, the Chinmaya Mission’s academic institutions in India, administered by the CCMT (Central Chinmaya Mission Trust) Education Cell have seen over one million students walk through their halls and graduate through their doors.
All the schools under the Chinmaya umbrella keep the lofty vision on education- Education with a Vision, alive through implementation of Chinmaya Vision Programme (CVP).
Our mission statement is based on CVP, the vision inducing educational programme that offers the children value based and holistic education, which paves way for Integrated Development of the physical, mental, intellectual and spiritual aspects of the personality and is enriched by the knowledge of Indian culture and enhanced by Patriotism and Universal Outlook.
It aims at giving children a true vision of life to help them face challenges in a positive and dynamic manner and heartily contribute to society and the world at large.
The child is the focal point of this programme. The programme also embraces the school, management, teachers and parents. Through them, the light of this vision spreads to the society, country and world at large.
It aims at overall development and gentle blossoming of the child at the physical, mental, intellectual and spiritual levels of his/her personality.
Patriotism is inculcated in children with the aim of creating dedicated and committed citizens who take real pride in serving the nation.
The child is given a wide exposure to the various aspects of our rich culture- cultural awareness and appreciation of vast literacy, artistic and scientific heritage of our country, explanation of myths and traditions and cultural motivation, etc.
Universal outlook refers to an appreciation, sensitivity and commitment to universal issues. The universal outlook helps the child view himself/herself as a responsible citizen of the world , live in harmony with creation as well as become aware of being an intrinsic part of macrocosm.
